HACA’s 2024 Pine Hill Driving Trials and Combined Test

Ranch Ride Carriage Drive went to the Houston Area Carriage Association's Driving Trials and Combined Test at Pine Hill last weekend! It was Fen's first CDE and she did great - watch for more to come on this amazing horse. Congratulations to all the competitors, and many thanks to HACA for sponsoring this American Driving Society-recognized event!

Traditional Carriages and Attelage: Elegant Sport Driving

Antique and reproduction carriages require skill to drive, but offer the driver the opportunity to preserve our driving traditions and to participate in the elegant, and growing, sport of Attelage. Learn more about Attelage and why the Achenbach driving method is our choice for traditional driving.

That Magical Moment When It All Comes Together

For all the embarrassments and setbacks we suffer for our sport, there will be those magical moments that make it all worth it, those memories that we treasure for a lifetime. Every competition, no matter whether it is a national-level show, or your local club event, is also an opportunity to experience that magical moment when it all comes together.

Good Sportsmanship Makes for Good Fun and Good Learning

The Houston Area Carriage Association's competition over Veteran's Day weekend was a shining example of a fun, welcoming event where everyone had the opportunity to learn from each other. I can’t emphasize enough how important this kind of sportsmanlike competition is for sharpening your skills and becoming more engaged in your chosen discipline.
