Ranch Ride Carriage Drive went to the Houston Area Carriage Association's Driving Trials and Combined Test at Pine Hill last weekend! It was Fen's first CDE and she did great - watch for more to come on this amazing horse. Wet weather may have foiled our plans for a carriage driving lesson with Henry's Home, but it was a good opportunity to practice carriage maintenance and harness fitting!
A New Partnership with PTSD Foundation of America / Camp Hope!
We are over the moon! After a year in the making, we are partnering with PTSD Foundation of America / Camp Hope to serve those who have served us. It is our hope that equine recreational therapy will provide a much-needed chance to experience the healing power of equine activities and natural surroundings.
We Had a Blast at the Certified Horsemanship International Conference 2024!
This weekend, Ranch Ride Carriage Drive went to the Certified Horsemanship Association's annual International Conference, held this year at Texas A&M in College Station! There were a lot of great topics to learn about, colleagues to catch up with, and Paul was able to share his knowledge of carriage driving both in the classroom and in the arena. Harvest Time After a Warm, Rainy Summer
Rainy weather has given us bumper crops of hay this season, but made for a difficult cotton harvest and created a few complications around the ranch in other ways.

Fen Goes to Her First Competition!
We took Fen to her first competition, Texas Derby Days, sponsored by the Tejas Carriage Association and the Houston Area Carriage Association. We had a lot of fun with our friends and Fen did well... how well? You'll have to watch the video to find out!

Cleaning Up After Hurricane Beryl, July 2024
We found ourselves in the eye of Hurricane Beryl early on the morning of July 8th. Like many in the Houston area, we are cleaning up from flooding, property damage, downed trees, and loss of power. Thankfully, everyone at the ranch is unhurt and healthy (including the four-legged residents)! We pray that all of you are well, too!
