Hello! I’m Libertad, but you’re friends, so you can also call me Liberty. I’m a very handsome gray Friesian/Andalusian cross, standing 16.2 hands high (If I do say so, I think I bear a striking resemblance to the beautiful white stallion in Shrek 2).
I was born somewhere in Texas in 2006, but I don’t really remember where (I was very young, after all). At the age of three years old, I went to Tom O’Carroll at the Good Hands Training Center for my basic training. When I completed this task, I was purchased by a very nice gentleman and moved to his beautiful ranch in Texas. Here, I continued my training under the tutelage of an Englishman and had several much older friends to make sure I didn’t step out of line.
Two of my greatest mentors were Lopez and Marco. They both hailed from the Netherlands. Here I am learning my trade with Marco’s help.

Lopez is giving me a little instruction here. He had the best way of explaining things.

Socrates was another old hand I learned a lot from. He was just as wise as you would think, considering his name! I’m the youngest one in this four-in-hand, with Lopez next to me at the wheels, and Marco and Socrates in the lead. They told me you’re never supposed to put Baby in the corner, but there I am!

My favorite thing in the world is carrot cookies, but these are currently rationed due to my rather rotund shape, which I blame on my parentage. Don’t worry, though, I am working hard on my fitness campaign.
My other favorite thing is having a good grooming.
I also have been known to do a little modeling. Here I am with my official issue Ranch Ride Carriage Drive hat.
My new partner, Tex, is a little smaller than me, so I am flying solo at the moment. I’m not the Baby any more! I’m an experienced mentor now, and looking forward to teaching new drivers and working with veterans! Follow Ranch Ride Carriage Drive for updates on my newest adventures!
